Client Needs

This well established business association for the charming town of Murphys, California needed full-service marketing. Services provided included web content, newsletter design, social media posts, and an interactive map of town. During the early stages of the pandemic, cancellation notices for events, COVID-messaging e-mails, safety guidelines and town signage were also created.

Interactive map

With a tourism-based economy, Murphys needed a map that highlighted where different attractions were located in town. I created this interactive PDF map in Adobe InDesign. Each point of interest links through to the Murphys Business Association website page on individual businesses or categories of business as needed.

Web content

In this 2020 holiday season post, supporting local businesses during COVID-19, while keeping people safe was very much top of mind.  With this content, we encouraged locals and visitors to make their holiday purchases safely from Murphys businesses struggling with loss of business due to the pandemic. This is just an example of numerous posts I created for the organisation.

MBA newsletter

Newsletter creation

I worked with my client to ensure timely content was always posted to their website and then shared in email campaigns and to social media. During the pandemic, this has been especially important in keeping up with current safety guidelines.

Signage for Murphys

Signage

From COVID-19 guideline posters and individual business storefront notices to town banners across Main Street and parking area signage, all of Murphys' latest signage has been designed to convey the importance of following State pandemic guidelines, while maintaining a friendly, welcoming vibe.

MBA social media

Social media

Posts on Facebook and Instagram (as with my work for the MBA) should always be coordinated campaigns designed for maximum engagement, optimised for their respective platforms and complementing the overall marketing goals set out in the content calendar. Most of the photography was also my own.
