Client Needs

The Lake Mont Pines Homeowners Association represents the owners and residents of a beautiful subdivision in California's High Sierra which needed a new mobile-responsive website. Operating with an outdated, desktop-only website made communicating with their members cumbersome and confusing. A newly designed website streamlined their content in a way that combined beauty with functionality. This was also an opportunity to include value-adding content, providing more resources to their members.

Responsive web design

Each element on the website was carefully optimised to display beautifully on tablets and smart phones as well as desktop. For this client, WordPress was a perfect platform for easy updates of information to keep their content fresh and relevant for members.

Since WordPress was new for their office staff, I included short, easily digested video tutorials on how to update different aspects of the website. These videos were uploaded to Youtube, and the client provided exclusive access to preserve privacy.

Digital forms

Homeowners Associations provide and require documentation to and from their members. Converting this content to a digital format allows all information to be easily stored and retrieved in databases, tracked and responded to in a timely manner. This provides convenience to both the association and its membership.

Not everyone is a fan of new technology. And some people prefer to keep paper copies of their submissions. For this reason, I created PDF files that could be downloaded, printed and filled out manually, incorporating the association's new branding. Paper copies can also be kept on site at the association lodge.
